Giving back

Radical IT's Community Commitments

At Radical IT, we're proud to be recognised for leading the way in Agile transformation and software delivery. But success means little if it doesn't support the people and places that raised you.

For our founder, Simon Edwards, that's East London, and giving back to this community is every bit as important as the high-performance delivery we're known for.

Why boxing?

Simon has been a lifelong boxer. He knows first-hand how the sport builds more than physical strength. It teaches resilience, focus, discipline and self-belief, qualities that are just as vital outside the ring. Boxing offers structure, community and purpose, often to those who've had few chances to find those elsewhere.
That's why we support local boxing projects and individuals who are changing lives from the ground up.

Edmonton Eagles Amateur Boxing Club

We're proud sponsors of Edmonton Eagles ABC, a grassroots club where young people are given not only top-tier boxing training but also a safe space to build confidence, community and ambition. The reach of a club like this extends well beyond its walls, shaping future leaders, mentors and empowered individuals who set the standard for what's possible in their communities for generations to come.

Supporting the Health of Young Athletes

Professional boxer Billy Underwood is a rising talent, and his wellbeing is non-negotiable. Radical IT funded Billy's recent medical assessments, including critical brain scans, ensuring his health is monitored with the seriousness it deserves. Prioritising safety in sport is non-optional — and we'll continue to stand behind athletes like Billy as they move through their careers with clarity and confidence.

Training the Next Generation at Creative Works

Back where it all started for Radical IT, Creative Works in East 17 Walthamstow, Simon runs mentoring programmes for small cohorts of local people who show potential but may not have had the usual access to opportunities in tech. Hands-on support and practical training designed to give people a real step up.

Among the most recent cohort were two young women with clear ambition and talent but limited access to the industry. He personally mentored them, putting them through our full Agile Team Builder programme (normally £1,500 each) and funding their professional certifications. They walked away with ICAgile qualifications, ready to step confidently onto the Agile career ladder. No cost to them. No catch.

If you're from the area and would like to be considered for a future cohort place, please get in touch via our Contact Us form. We'd love to hear from you.

Walking the Talk

Simon's philosophy is simple: don't just talk about change – build it. That's as true for enterprise-level Agile delivery as it is for local community support. We're here to deliver, in every sense of the word.
